The vast majority of my time in-game has been spent playing in Empire Mode, which I believe is only added by the third and last DLC-pack, and the 'Anomalies Exploration' that the first DLC added also expands the game significantly. There's a short campaign for each, but those are pretty underwhelming and mostly serve to introduce said new features. Get 'em on a decent sale, and the price isn't really *that* egregious anyway.īasically, they add some really nice features. Well, there's always a value proposition, but I've personally enjoyed the game, including all three DLC-packs, for several hundred hours now - so I'd say I got my money's worth for it all.
